Ahem. I think I let this wait too long. I can't remember too many details from the three games we played at this tournament, but I'll give it my best shot. One thing I do remember: it was COLD!!! Game 1: Freedom Inferno vs. CYA Hotshots 95 Final Score: 0 - 3 This was a tough first game. Everyone was on the road by 7:30 am, then the girls had to hit the ground running. This team, by the way, ended up winning the tournament, so I think the Inferno did a great job holding them to three points. The team the Hotshots played earlier that morning ended up losing 7 - 2. Jazz did her usual awesome job in goal. We might have to sign her up for the NFL! I can't remember too many details about the game, but I do remember thinking that Sydney was playing great. And Phyllis has turned it up a few notches. Good job, girls!
Game 2: Freedom Inferno vs. EPIC 95G Hammers Final Score: ? - ? (We won) All I can remember about this game was that Jenny scored and played like a champion, Maggie didn't let anything get by, and we won. The fans were very excited, happy to go back to the hotel and warm up on a high note. And after the game, the girls hit the pool while the parents hit the lounge. It was a great evening!
Game 3: Freedom Inferno vs. the first place team from Flight B Regulation Game Score: 1 - 1 Overtime Score: 0 - 2 Final Score: 1 - 3 The Inferno played really well in this game. The buzz was that this team had not been scored on in the tournament, so we managed to smash that record! We were pretty evenly matched, but unfortunately, they managed to pull ahead in overtime.
