Game Highlights

Inferno vs. GHSC Piranhas    Final Score:  0 - 6

Wow!  Our first (and only) game of the tournament pitted us against the Piranhas who were ranked third in the state this year.  Bad first draw for us, but our girls hung tough.  Our defense was the only thing between us and a complete slaughter, so I have to give them a HUGE shout out for their efforts.  Jazz was in GREAT form deflecting shot after shot.  If not for her Herculean efforts, and those of her defensive team, the score could have been really ugly.

Zee played hard, moving back to defense whenever she was needed back there (which was most of the game!)  Our offense didn't get too much time on the ball this game, so whenever they could help out on defense, it was great.

Our team was a little short for this game:  Millie was out, Brooke was out sick, and Jackie was reporting for duty with a broken collarbone.  I have to give her (and her parents) a lot of credit.  They drove over an hour to a game that Jackie couldn't play in.  And when asked, Jackie was ready to sub-in, despite the pain.  That's dedication!
