Wow, what a game!  There was a lot of pushing out there, but our girls kept their composure, and brought home the win.  The goal by Lauren Kenny was beautiful, and our team had several more shots, but their keeper really made some nice saves.  Bummer for us, but it was exciting!

Everyone is really playing great.  Keep it up, Inferno!

This was a fun game to watch.  Our team played great, keeping the ball on the offensive end of the field almost the whole time.   Brooke finally got a chance to take the field, while Jackie tended the goal (and did a great job, by the way).  Lauren Kenny scored her first goal of the Spring season, and also did an outstanding job keeping the ball in scoring range.  Zi had a great game (she almost scored with a beautiful long shot).  And Maggie kept everything away from our goal.

It was an outstanding team effort!

Sunday, April 19  11:30 AM:  West Springfield H.S.    SYC Xplosion vs. FSC Inferno  Final Score:  4 - 2

Half of our team played with injuries:  Jackie was recovering from a concussion, Nava from a sprained ankle, and Milly from a shoulder injury (ok, so that's not half).  Yet all three of the injured girls played, and played well!  

Jenny led the way in scoring, but there was lots of great playing from everyone else too.  As you can see from the picture, Coach John didn't seem too stressed out over the game.

Our Inferno is off to a great start!  The team looked great despite missing several practice nights due to rain, lacrosse, etc.  Our new goalie, Brooke, did a fantastic job, lots of saves, and terrific punting.  Our newest member, Gabby fit right in on defense.  Welcome, Gabby.  We're happy to have you on the team!
